| These stars appear next to a persons name in a chat room, or other places. This represents their experiance. When they win a game, they get half a star. When they win 10 games, they will have 5 stars and will also be eligible to compete on the ladder. |
| This is displayed when the person is logged onto Battle.Net with a Spawn Version of the game which only allows him to play games with the same person that spawned the game onto that person's system. |
| This is displayed when the person logged on is there specifically to chat and most likely cannot play a game. |
| This is displayed when the person logged on is using a shareware version of the game. |
| This is displayed when the user logged on is a registered PGL member/player. |
| This is displayed when the user logged on is a registered PGL member/player. |
| This is displayed when the user is a PGL official. The PGL official is a user who referee's games played by PGL members. |
| This is displayed when the person is an official Blizzard Employee or Representitive. |
| This is displayed by the name of a battle.net systems operator (sysop). |
| This is used for moderated chat rooms where only the person given the megaphone can be heard. |
| These are shone next to the names of special guests of Blizzard on battle.net. |
| This is displayed when the person is the channel operator. This person can use commands that normal users cannot. YOU can become a channel operator by creating your own chat channel or by being designated by the former channel operator. |
| This is displayed with the name of the #1 player on the ladder. |
| This is displayed with the names of the top ten players on the ladder. |
| This is the default StarCraft icon. |
| This is displayed when the person is logged onto Battle.net with Diablo, which is also played on Battle.Net |

| This Icon will appear with the name of a map that was created by Blizzard and is an Official Blizzard Map. |
| This Icon will appear with the name of a map that is an Official Ladder map. Only these maps can be used when playing on the Ladder. |
